Dec 14 – Deliberate choices

As we saw yesterday, your problems are not the real issue, but rather your attitude and approach to the problems. Once problems are revealed, it’s about the choices you make. Every decision and response that you make will affect how long that problems stays and the manner in which you come through it.
Here are some deliberate choices you should make:
Choose to refocus. Problems elicit thoughts and emotions that you may not have known before. To be sure, when the unexpected happens, you are tempted to fear and doubt. These are just two of the many emotions that come rushing upon you when a problem surfaces. These emotions and thoughts can actually lead you away from the solution that you seek. Whatever the problem, refocus on seeking a solution, this will give you the clarity you need to develop a plan to solve whatever is facing you.
Choose to remember. As the pressure mounts, and it will, you should be anchored in a fundamental truth: “What really matters has not changed.” Problems seem to present a false reality that everything has changed. Yet those things that matter most are still the same. God’s promises are still the same yesterday, today and forever. When crazy feelings as a result of problems try to surface, remind yourself of God’s promises in your situation, because those are the things that really matter and they have not changed.
Choose to rehearse. There is power in God’s Word. When you are battling the challenges, there will be two voices: one from God and one from the devil. You get the chance to speak life or death over your situation. You become the deciding witness. You will either speak to your destiny or against it.
Prayer: Father, You are the greatest problem solver. I trust Your wisdom to guide me to that place of perfect peace and joy. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Thought: I am anointed to solve problems!
