Dec 27 – Words and Works Pt 2

You will find in life that there are different types of people as it relates to the faith walk. Today we will look at these different types of people.
There are anti-faith people who oppose the notion that you can speak God’s Word and see change. They are against people who teach faith and those who walk by faith. Others have argumentative faith. These people argue over how faith should be executed. They want to debate the roles that confession, prayer, and action have in working together. The problem with this group is that they never act on faith; they just debate it.
Still another group of people have academic faith. They have studied the great faith teachers and the message of faith. They can trace the biblical foundations of the faith movement. But their study never translates into faith action. They will say, “Oh I know that confession stuff but I don’t do it.” A closely related group is the articulate faith people. They talk about faith. They know the components. They have testimonies about others who used the faith process, but they never walk by faith themselves. Then, you have people who possess admiration faith. They will cling to you as you take this journey. They will be cheerleaders for you as you confess the Word of God and stand in faith. As you go after fulfilling your vision by faith, they will rejoice with you at every victory. Yet they won’t do it for themselves.
You must make up in your mind right now, that regardless of what other people do. Or the circumstances, you will continue to walk by faith and not by sight!

Prayer: Father, I commit today to be person that truly walks by faith and not just talk about faith.

Thought: Regardless of what other people do, you continue to walk by faith and not by sight.
